Charlton will not rival Norwich for Derby striker Liam Dickinson, but are expected to beat the Canaries to defender Miguel Llera.

Both clubs are targeting the same kind of players following relegation to League One and, according to reports, it is a case of first blood to the Addicks who are closing in on Llera.

The Spanish defender is a free agent after leaving the MK Dons and it looks as though a deal to move to the Valley will be pushed through by the end of the week.

However, it is understood that Charlton are not in the race to sign Derby striker Dickinson, leaving the way clear for Norwich boss Bryan Gunn to swoop for the 23-year-old.
