Alnwick to continue for Addicks

Charlton manager Chris Powell will again be without goalkeeper Ben Hamer for the trip to the Madejski Stadium.

Hamer injured his ankle ahead of last week's clash with Doncaster and is not yet fit enough for a return so Ben Alnwick, who has impressed in the two matches since, will continue to deputise.

Chris Solly is closing in on a return from a knee problem but is expected to miss out once more, while fellow defender Leon Cort (knee) remains sidelined.

The Addicks have lost three of their last four games and have not won at Reading since 1981.
