Baggies cool on transfer link

West Brom are staying tight-lipped on reports they have launched a bid to sign Charlton midfielder Zheng Zhi.

Addicks boss Alan Pardew confirmed earlier in the week that the club have received a big offer for the talented midfielder and revealed he may have to be sold.

West Brom are thought to be the club who are keen after missing out on Madjid Bougherra who opted to sign for Rangers, but so far they have kept quiet on the speculation.

The Baggies have confirmed they have got irons in the fire but will not say if one of them is Zheng.
