Clubs line up for Addicks ace

CharltonPortsmouth and Wigan are in the race for Charlton defender Madjid Bougherra who is also interesting Rangers, Boro and Newcastle.

The Algeria international was reportedly the subject of a failed bid from Spanish outfit Real Betis last month but he appears to have options as the Addicks contemplate another season in the Championship.

And boss Alan Pardew might have to move players on in order to add to his squad so a £2.5m offer might tempt him to do business.

Pompey and the Magpies have been forced to switch targets with Richard Dunne set to stay at Manchester City following the appointment of Mark Hughes.

Latics face a fight to keep Paul Scharner who is wanted by Fulham and Sunderland so will need a replacement on board.
