Henderson seals Addicks switch

Charlton have signed goalkeeper Stephen Henderson on a three-year deal.

The 26-year-old, who arrives on a free transfer from West Ham, is the eighth signing of the summer for head coach Bob Peeters.

Henderson has a wealth of experience in the Sky Bet Championship, with spells at Bournemouth, Ipswich, Portsmouth and Yeovil amongst others so far in his career.

Henderson told the Charlton's official website: "I'm very excited and can't wait to get started.

"I'm delighted to get it done. It was a pretty sharp move and I'm very happy to be here."

Henderson follows Yoni Buyens, Igor Vetokele, Franck Moussa, Andre Bikey-Amougou, Tal Ben Haim, Johann Berg Gudmundsson and George Tucudean through the door at The Valley this season.
