Midfielder out of Spain trip

CharltonCharlton are sweating on the fitness of Matt Holland after the player pulled out of the trip to Spain through injury.

The midfielder picked up the mystery knock during the pre-season friendly against Braintree and the Addicks have decided that he should stay behind for treatment.

The problem is not thought to be serious and he should be back sooner rather than later.

"Our head physiotherapist Steve Allen felt he would get better staying in England than coming out here and not being able to train," said assistant manager Phil Parkinson.

"But if anyone can get back quickly after injury then it's Matty."
