Murray dismisses sale rumours

CharltonCharlton chairman Richard Murray says the club are looking for a buyer but has ruled out a bid from a South African consortium.

The Addicks have already seen talks with Dubai-based company Zabeel Holdings break down but fresh reports suggested that a South African group were on the verge of making a bid.

Murray has blasted such talk although he does admit that the board are currently seeking a buyer.

"I don't know anything about this story, or where it came from," Murray told the Kent Messenger. "The word is out that we're looking for a buyer after what happened with Zabeel so we're going to be connected with plenty of speculation.

"But I can confirm that we are looking for a buyer."
