New signing Stuart Fleetwood has vowed to be a success at Charlton and has also targeted a call up to the senior Wales side.If he can do that then the player hopes he will have done enough to make the step up from the Wales under-21s to the senior squad.
"I am desperate to do well for Charlton and if I do, with any luck I'll get a call-up to the Wales squad," Fleetwood told the South London Press. "I am so relieved to have finally sorted out the move to Charlton.
"There had been a lot of rumours in the press for quite some time and everyone was asking me about it. To finally sign on the dotted line is a weight off my shoulders.
"I know there will be a lot of competition at the club but the thought of representing Wales is an extra incentive for me. I played for the semi-pro Wales side last year and that was brilliant, so hopefully I can go one better and get a call-up to the full squad this season.
"But that will only happen if I do well for Charlton - they are my main priority. An international call-up would just be a bonus."
