Caretaker boss Phil Parkinson has dismissed speculation linking Charlton starlet Jonjo Shelvey with a move to a Premier League club.
The 16-year-old, who made his debut for the Addicks at the end of last season and has made four appearances this term, has reportedly caught the attention of North-East trio Middlesbrough, Newcastle United and Sunderland. However Parkinson insists no approaches have been forthcoming for Shelvey and none would be welcome.
"We have heard absolutely nothing from any clubs about Jonjo and we do not want to," Parkinson told the South London Press.
"He is a very talented young player and we want to keep him at Charlton.
"He has a big future ahead of him here and I don't think it would benefit him to go anywhere else."
