Primus returns to Addicks

CharltonPortsmouth defender Linvoy Primus has completed his loan move back to Charlton despite speculation the move could fall through.

The 34-year-old is returning to the Valley on a three month loan despite reports yesterday that the deal was going to fall through as both clubs couldn't reach an agreement on the length of the loan contract.

Linvoy is currently trying to return to full fitness after a career threatening knee injury which saw him sidelined throughout the whole of last season.

Primus has fallen down the pecking order at Portsmouth and is looking forward to being able to play first team football again.

"It's good. I have a connection to Charlton and I'm also going to be close to my family, and it's a great opportunity for me to play football at a high standard, with a club who have ambitions and are moving forward," Primus told Pompey's official website.
