Racon reeling from foot injury

CharltonCharlton midfielder Therry Racon has broken his fifth metatarsal and will be out of action for around three months.

The Frenchman picked up the injury in the second half of Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Watford at Vicarage Road and will now have an operation to insert a plate in his foot, meaning he is likely to be sidelined until November.

The former Guingamp man, who spent the end of last season on loan at Brighton, had started the Addicks' first two Championship games of the season.

His absence will open the door for the likes of Matt Holland, Jonjo Shelvey, Josh Wright and Jose Semedo to take Racon's place in the Addicks' midfield against Reading on Saturday.
