Teenage defender Jack Clark has agreed to sign a new one-year professional contract at Charlton.

The 18-year-old left-back graduated from the Addicks Academy this summer and has yet to make a first-team appearance for the club. However, he was an unused substitute for their FA Cup trip to Sheffield United in January.

Clark will look to secure a place in the first team along with midfielder Alex Stavrinou, who put pen to paper on his pro deal last week.

Stavrinou said: "I want to try to get in the first team and make some appearances.

"There are seven subs next season so it would be good to at least get a place on the bench and the club is looking to give youngsters a chance."
