Zheng linked with Prem switch

Fulham are being linked with a £4million swoop for Charlton midfielder Zheng Zhi, who wants to return to the Premiership.

The China international is said to be pondering his future after the Addicks failed to win promotion straight back to the top flight and Fulham could be ready to offer him that chance.

Addicks boss Alan Pardew is hoping to convince the player to hang around for another crack at promotion but if the Cottagers come in with £4million, he could be facing a battle to keep him.

Zheng scored seven goals in 42 appearances for Charlton last season and his form has caught the eye of Fulham boss Roy Hodgson.
