West Brom boss Steve Clarke says he wants to keep Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku for a second season but all talks are on hold for now.
The 19-year-old has been a revelation since joining the Baggies on loan at the start of the season and has chipped in with 12 goals as Clarke's men have shone in the Premier League.
Chelsea will have to decide whether he is ready for the first-team at Stamford Bridge but Clarke says they will take him back for another season if he is surplus to requirements.
However Clarke says it is a conversation for the end of the season and ultimately the decision is out of his hands.
"It's something that will come up for discussion in the summer," Clarke revealed. "Chelsea are his parent club, he is their player and they will decide what they want to do first and foremost.
"Then, after that, hopefully we will get a chance to put ourselves in the hat.
"If Chelsea want to leave him out for another season somewhere, I think we would have a strong chance of getting him back here but it is a discussion for the summer."
