Chelsea's Michael Ballack believes Didier Drogba cannot be compared with the other top strikers in the Premier League.

The German international has suggested Drogba is a unique player who is vital in Chelsea's hunt for the league title.

He said: "He (Drogba) is a very individual type of player. He is different from (Manchester United's Wayne) Rooney or (Arsenal's Andrey) Arshavin.

"He is unbelievable, with physical strength and technical ability. He's a striker but also a free-kick taker.

"In fact, he is a striker with a lot of other qualities. Not many players have this.

"You see in the big games like Arsenal, he was there.

"That is why he is a big player."
