City boss Mark Hughes is keen to add to his frontline having already acquired the Brazillian Jo from CSKA Moscow and could see Wright Phillips as the perfect addition to his attacking line up.
Wright Phillips will be eager for first team action and could see a move to Eastlands as an opportunity to regain his place in the England set up.
City will face competition for Wright Phillips' signature though, with Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp also keen on securing his services.
