Chelsea right-back Jose Bosingwa remains a target for Bayern Munich and the German giants are still talking to the Blues.

Portugal international Bosingwa has only been at Stamford Bridge for one season but will be aware Chelsea tried to re-sign England right-back Glen Johnson earlier in the summer although he eventually joined Liverpool.

And Bayern are trying to take advantage of the uncertainty by maintaining dialogue with a view to a big-money swoop.

"We are convinced about Bosingwa and that he would fit in really well at FC Bayern," chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told Sport Bild magazine.

"I don't think the book has been closed on this issue yet."

Bosingwa cost over £16m when he signed from Porto 12 months ago.
