Borussia Dortmund winger Marco Reus is reportedly a £35million summer transfer window target for Chelsea.
Blues owner Roman Abramovich appears ready to give the green light to a big-money move for the 23-year-old German international midfielder, who could be poised to leave Dortmund after just one season with the Bundesliga champions.
Reus, who joined Dortmund in a £15million switch from German rivals Borussia Monchengladbach in January 2012, has been a key man at both the Westfalenstadion and with his country this term scoring 17 goals in 36 appearances so far.
He also played the full 90 minutes this week as Dortmund thumped Champions League opponents Shakhtar Donetsk to book a place in the quarter-finals of the tournament and coach Jurgen Klopp will no doubt be loathed to lose such an influential member of his team.
But with doubts surrounding veteran Frank Lampard's future at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea are keen to bolster their ranks in the attacking midfield area of the squad.
Whether an offer to double Dortmund's money on Reus will tempt them and if the Blues can put together a package to persuade the player to move away from his hometown club remains to be seen.
