Chelsea have missed out on the signing of Brazilian superstar Neymar after he opted to join Spanish champions Barcelona.
The Blues along with Manchester City have long been linked with a move for the talented 21-year-old, who plays his football in Brazil with Santos, but they have lost out to Barca.
Barcelona have issued a statement confirming the move while Neymar himself has said he will pen a five-year-contract with the deal set to go through on Monday.
A Barcelona statement read: "FC Barcelona and Santos have agreed to terms for Neymar da Silva Santos Junior. The Brazilian forward will don the Blaugrana strip for the next five seasons. The 21-year old is one of the most promising footballers on the planet."
Neymar added: "I'm here with friends and family and they have helped me to write a few things here. I'm not going to hold out until Monday. My family and friends already know my decision.
"On Monday I will sign a contract with Barcelona."
