Blues target Kaka swoop

Chelsea are poised to make a January move to sign Kaka from AC Milan to make up for missing out on Robinho.

The Blues had been chasing the Real Madrid star all summer and were expected to wrap up a deal on deadline day before Manchester City nipped in and offered more cash.

Blues officials are now ready to move and reports claim they will make a renewed bid to sign fellow Brazilian Kaka when the window opens again in the new year.

The Blues opened talks with Milan about Kaka this summer but it soon became obvious that the Italian giants were not prepared to do business, and they will take some persuading to let him go in January.
