Blues warned off striker bid

Napoli have told Chelsea not to bother making an approach for Argentinian striker Ezequiel Lavezzi as he is not for sale.

The Blues have been linked with a £10million swoop for the 23-year-old as soon as the transfer window opens in January but Napoli insist there has been no approach from Chelsea.

The Italians hope that remains the case and Napoli's sporting director Pierpaolo Marino says they have no intention of cashing in on their prized asset.

When quizzed about Chelsea's reported interest in the player, Marino said: "I know nothing regarding that story. But I would not advise Chelsea to make any offer because we would turn it down immediately."
