Capello backing for Chelsea ace

England boss Fabio Capello has told fans to support players who have made a mistake following the Ashley Cole incident.

Chelsea star Cole was roundly booed by sections of the Wembley crowd after his loose back-pass led to Kazakhstan's goal when England were 2-0 ahead.

England went on to win 5-1 but Capello was not happy with Cole's treatment and does not want a repeat.

"I didn't understand the crowd booing Ashley Cole after he made a mistake," Capello said.

"It's always possible for one player to make a mistake and at that moment it's important for the crowd to help him, not boo him."
