Cats rule out Keane exit

Niall Quinn has played down talk linking Roy Keane with Chelsea and expects him to be at Sunderland for a 'long time to come'.

Keane has worked wonders since taking over at Sunderland and Quinn says it comes as no surprise to him that his manager is already being linked with the big jobs.

Chelsea are on the look out for Avram Grant's successor and Keane has been mentioned as a possible target but Quinn is adamant the Irishman will still be at the Stadium of Light next season.

"I am not overly surprised that Roy has been linked," Quinn revealed. "But rather than fret about it, I would take it as a positive that we must be doing something right as a football club.

"And remember, Roy is still under contract at Sunderland for next season and I am pretty happy at this stage that he will be with us for a long time to come."
