Napoli striker and reported Chelsea target Edinson Cavani is eager to hold talks with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis.
Cavani is currently on international duty with Uruguay in the Confederations Cup aiming to try and secure a third-place finish after losing to Brazil in the semi-finals.
The former Palermo man has expressed an interest in moving to England but De Laurentiis has resisted a number of offers so far.
The 26-year-old netted 29 goals last season and helped the Naples-based side to finish second, but his £54million release clause has proved to be a stumbling block.
Cavani said: "I love Naples. It's my town and my heart is there. But when I was here in Brazil I've heard untrue rumours and things about me.
"For this reason, now I want to talk as soon as possible with president De Laurentiis. We must clear ourselves. I'll talk with him, as it's done between men, really soon."
