Drogba is available as his three-game ban only applies to domestic competition but reports linking him to Inter Milan have apparently annoyed the Blues boss and he is unlikely to start.
Elsewhere, Ricardo Carvalho (knee), Franco di Santo (hamstring), Juliano Belletti (ankle) and Michael Essien (knee) are all out but centre-back Alex has travelled after getting over a groin strain and is set to play alongside John Terry in the heart of defence.
