Chelsea have agreed a deal with Bayer Leverkusen for Andre Schurrle, who will sign subject to personal terms and a medical.
The Blues have been chasing the German international forward for some time but are finally closing in on their man, after agreeing a deal with the Bundesliga side.
The 22-year-old will now fly to London to discuss terms and undergo a medical but Chelsea do not expect any problems and the player could be unveiled in the next couple of days.
A statement on the club's official website on Thursday read: "Chelsea Football Club and Bayer 04 Leverkusen have reached an agreement for the transfer of Andre Schurrle, subject to the completion of legal documentation and related matters, including personal terms and passing a medical."
Even though neither club has mentioned it as yet, it is thought that Kevin De Bruyne has been included in the deal and he will spend the season on loan with Leverkusen.
