Chelsea have reportedly agreed a deal with Atletico Madrid to sign striker Diego Costa, while QPR's Loic Remy is another summer target.
Costa has long been linked with a big-money switch to Stamford Bridge and has been coy on his future beyond the summer, with several top clubs chasing his signature.
The Brazil-born Spain international played his part in helping knock the Blues out of the Champions League on Wednesday night when he scored a penalty in Atletico's 3-1 semi-final second-leg victory, but reports say an agreement is in place for him to make the move to Chelsea in a deal worth in the region of £30million.
If the transfer goes through, further question marks will be raised over the future of Fernando Torres at Chelsea, who could end up being part of the Costa deal and return to his old club Atletico.
A move for QPR frontman Remy, who has been on a season-long loan at Newcastle, has also been mooted, meanwhile, as boss Jose Mourinho looks to significantly beef up his attacking options for next term.
The Frenchman will leave Rangers when the transfer window reopens and is believed to be keen to secure a move to a Champions League club, with Arsenal also keeping an eye on the situation.
It is thought Remy, who has managed an impressive 13 Premier League goals for the Magpies this season, would cost in the region of £16million.
