Chelsea could turn to Karim Benzema after Radamel Falcao said he is not thinking about leaving Atletico Madrid any time soon.
The Blues have been chasing Falcao for some time as they look to add another striker to the ranks in January but the Colombian international insists he is going nowhere for now.
Some reports had claimed a deal was already in place between the two clubs that would see Falcao move to Stamford Bridge but they appear to be wide of the mark.
"At Atletico Madrid I have a contract for three more years and I will not at this time think about future," he told DIRECTV. "We are fighting for important things that are at stake and valuable titles. I will not lose concentration for anything in the world.
"I try to live in reality because I know that in football you have to prove yourself every day and this can change."
Chelsea will now turn their attentions elsewhere with reports in Madrid saying they could look accross the City and make a move for Real star Benzema.
