Chelsea talks continuing - Robinho

Brazil ace Robinho claims talks are ongoing with Chelsea over a transfer despite Real Madrid's reluctance to sell him.

Blues boss Luiz Felipe Scolari wants to add the forward to his ranks and has made room in his squad by selling Shaun Wright-Phillips back to Manchester City on Thursday.

Real president Ramon Calderon has already pledged to keep hold of Robinho by insisting he will "defend the interests of this club in the best manner possible".

But Robinho himself has refused to give up on his dream of a move to Stamford Bridge.

"I have a contract with Real Madrid now, but we are still negotiating with Chelsea," he told globoesporte. "A lot of things are being published and they are not the truth.

"It is not true that I said that I was going to apologise to the press. We are working to seal my future, nothing else."
