Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has been forced to pull out of the Ivory Coast squad because of injury.

The striker is said to be struggling with a chest injury that he picked up following a clash with Manchester United's Jonny Evans at the weekend and he will sit out the World Cup qualifier against Guinea.

The Ivory Coast have already qualified for the World Cup in South Africa next summer so they are happy to rest him on Saturday.

However there have been suggestions he could play in the friendly clash against Germany the following Wednesday if he is feeling fit and ready to go.
