Drogba to snub Bridge return

Chelsea have missed out on a bid to re-sign Didier Drogba, with the striker set to join Turkish outfit Galatasaray instead.

Drogba only left Stamford Bridge in the summer to link up with Chinese outfit Shanghai Shenhua after the Blues refused to offer him the two-year deal he wanted.

The 34-year-old has struggled to settle in China and according to reports Roman Abramovich was ready to make a shock attempt to bring him back to Chelsea for six months with the option of a further 12 months.

However Drogba is set to snub the club he loved in favour of a move to Galatasaray who can offer him a £6million deal and the chance of Champions League football with a last 16 clash against Schalke on the horizon.

Fernando Torres is still struggling for goals and although Demba Ba has been brought in another striker is needed but it looks as though the return of Drogba is out of the question.
