Ferreira eyes Euro glory

Paulo Ferreira says Chelsea have what it takes to cause an upset and win the Champions League this season.

The Portuguese defender made a surprise return to the side as Chelsea defeated Benfica 1-0 in the quarter-final first leg and the player says there is no reason they cannot go on and win the competition.

Chelsea have had a tough season but Ferreira believes there is enough quality in the squad to upset the form book. Real Madrid and Barcelona will be the teams to beat but Ferreira says the Blues are capable of repeating Porto's heroics of the past.

"Remember, in 2004 I won with Porto when maybe no-one expected to see Porto win the Champions League against these top, big clubs," he revealed.

"Anything can happen in this competition. A bit of luck with the draw, a good first leg or bad leg, and anything can happen.

"We have a wonderful squad. If you see our squad, we have top players - all of them international players. But, for me, I think anything can happen. Why not?

"You have to believe."
