Inter close net on Frank

ChelseaFrank Lampard is closing in on a move to Inter Milan after the Chelsea midfielder was offered a five-year deal at the San Siro.

Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has already hinted that a swoop for the midfielder could be on the cards, while Inter president Massimo Moratti revealed he was Inter's top target.

Reports in Italy claim that Lampard has already been offered a five-year deal and although the player's agent would not confirm this, he is planning talks with Inter within the next 10 days.

Franco Granello claims to be representing Lampard and is talking up a possible move to Inter.

"At the moment I've been on holiday for about a week," Granello told Tuttomercatoweb. "But it doesn't seem to me that Lampard's transfer has already been completed.

"I have a meeting with Inter in 10 days but for now I'm enjoying the rest, seeing as I have so little."

Lampard is also due to have talks with new Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari before he makes up his mind on where his future lies.
