Branislav Ivanovic believes his Chelsea side can end their tumultuous season on a positive note by winning the Europa League final.
After winning the Champions League last term, Blues owner Roman Abramovich signed a number of talented youngsters during the summer in a bid to reinvigorate his ageing side.
However, things have not exactly worked out as, after a lean patch before Christmas, Roberto Di Matteo was sacked, leading to Rafa Benitez being installed on an interim basis.
They are also still not guaranteed a top-four finish either, meaning it could be another summer of change at Stamford Bridge.
They do have a shot at some sort of redemption though when they meet Benfica in Amsterdam on Wednesday and punters may look to use their free bet to back the Londoners to lift the trophy.
Ivanovic admits it has been a tough year at the Bridge but believes winning the Europa League would provide a silver lining to their campaign.
"All the season has been difficult, but now is almost the end of the season and we have to do everything to finish the job off," he said. "We tried to motivate ourselves to do our best in the Europa League.
"We're in the final and we're happy about that. We will do everything to try to win the trophy. It's very important, another final for the club and another chance to win a trophy."
