Jose Mourinho is prepared to double Sami Khedira's wages in order to lure him from Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.
Mourinho has been linked with a move for the German international ever since it was revealed he was to quit the Bernabeu for Chelsea in June.
Khedira played down the rumours earlier this month, saying he was looking forward to working with Mourinho's successor Carlo Ancelotti in the Spanish capital.
However, fresh reports in Spain in recent days suggest the Blues are ready to go back in for the former Stuttgart player.
Real are keen to raise funds to aid their pursuit of Tottenham's Gareth Bale and are reportedly ready to consider a €25million (£21.6million) offer for Khedira.
Mourinho is also prepared to double the player's wages to around £75,000 in order to persuade him to sign on at Stamford Bridge.
