Keeper pens new deal

Chelsea goalkeeper Hilario has committed his future to the club after penning a one-year contract extension.

The 36-year-old's contract was due to expire in the summer and it was widely thought he would be on the move as part of a Stamford Bridge clear out.

However, the Blues obviously see him as a more than able deputy to current number one Petr Cech and the Spaniard will spend at least one more season at the club.

Hilario joined Chelsea in 2006 as understudy to Cech and has made a total of 39 appearances for the club, keeping 18 clean sheets.

Meanwhile Birmingham's young goalkeeper Jack Butland is being linked with a move to the club. The 19-year-old is seen as one for the future and both Tottenham and Arsenal are also said to be interested.
