Keeper pledges Blues future

ChelseaCarlo Cudicini has told Chelsea that he has no plans to leave Stamford Bridge in search of regular first-team football this summer.

The Italian has been playing second fiddle at the club since the arrival of Petr Cech and even though reports have linked him with a move away, he insists he does not want to go.

The former Italy Under-21 international has made 140 appearance for Chelsea since joining them eight seasons ago but a string of injuries to Cech last season saw him make 19 appearances and he is happy to stay at the club.

"I know I have to be ready when the team needs me. I am trying to train every day as if I was playing. Of course I'd like to play more, but this is normal," he said.
