Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has revealed he will spend a third season on loan in Spain with Atletico Madrid.
The highly-rated Belgium keeper has impressed during a two-year spell with Atletico and spoke of his desire to stay in La Liga, rather than warm the bench with the Blues.
Chelsea are reluctant to let him go on a permanent basis and with Petr Cech still dominating the number one jersey at Stamford Bridge, it seems as though a loan deal has been agreed.
"I will return to Atletico to play another season," he has been quoted as saying. "I can continue to keep my place in goal for Belgium. During the season we will see whether I should return to London."
Chelsea have been linked with a move for an experienced keeper this summer but it seems as though Courtois is seen as Cech's long-term replacement once he moves on.
