Kenyon confirms further Robinho talks

ChelseaChief executive Peter Kenyon has confirmed Chelsea are holding more talks with Real Madrid to sign Brazil winger Robinho.

The Blues have made no secret of their desire to sign the Bernabeu star, although the move was cast in doubt after it emerged Robinho had changed his mind on a transfer to the Premier League and had agreed a new five-year contract with the Spanish champions.

However, Kenyon, speaking from Macau ahead of Saturday's friendly with Chinese Super League side Chengdu Blades, said Chelsea were pushing ahead with talks.

"The speculation surrounding Chelsea in any transfer window is enormous," he said.

"We have confirmed we are interested in Robinho and have had some conversations with the club. That is ongoing and as the coach [Luiz Felipe Scolari] has said, he is a player we have identified as a talent.

"If we could get him it would add to what we have got, but if it doesn't happen, the objectives of Chelsea are not going to change."
