Real Madrid are leading the race to sign Chelsea target Radamel Falcao and are reportedly set to land him for around £45m.
The Colombian hitman has enhanced his reputation massively since joining Atletico Madrid after enjoying a fine two-year spell at FC Porto, scoring 41 goals in 51 games as well as winning the Europa League.
Falcao has continued his rich vein of form in Spain and has caught the eye of a host of big clubs with a number of impressive displays.
Chelsea and Manchester City are thought to be keen on securing his services, although the latest reports suggests it is the Spanish champions and Atletico's city rivals that are now leading the chase.
Jose Mourinho's hopes of landing the player appear to be boosted by the fact that Falcao wants to try his hand at the Bernabeu, according to his father Radamel Garcia.
"His dream is to play for Real Madrid. Since he was a boy he's always wanted to play there. Other teams in Europe like Chelsea and Manchester City were interested in him," Garcia said.
"If he can't play for Real Madrid, he'll play for a team in England. Of course he wants to go to the 2014 World Cup, but most of all, he wants to go to Real Madrid."
