John Obi Mikel says he will complete a move to Galatasaray as soon as Chelsea agree a fee with the Turkish club.
Doubts over the Nigerian's future have arisen following the return of boss Jose Mourinho and the player has now confirmed he is closing in on a move.
The 26-year-old is looking forward to a fresh challenge with Galatasaray and is confident that Chelsea will accept their offer, thought to be in the region of £10million.
"I have played at Chelsea for a long time and it's now time for me to leave," Mikel told Turkish newspaper Sabah. "I'm still only 26 and it's great to receive an offer from a club [Galatasaray] playing Champions League football and doing well in the competition.
''Talks have reached an advanced level between Chelsea and Galatasaray. Chelsea won't make the move difficult and regarding my salary there won't be a problem. All that is left is for the clubs to reach an agreement."
Mourinho has his own targets and could make a move for Benfica's Nemanja Matic, while Toulouse enforcer Etienne Capoue and Roma's Daniele De Rossi are also possible replacements.
