Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has offered his support to John Terry and insists his captain is fully focused on his Chelsea commitments.

The Italian tactician believes Terry is focused on achieving success with Chelsea despite continuous press speculation regarding his private life.

"For him nothing changed, he continues to play a very good game," said Ancelotti. "Every game he is living a very good moment.

"I don't think it is a distraction, nothing can disturb our concentration in this competition and every game the Chelsea team is focused.

"Sometimes we play good football, sometimes we have more difficulty but concentration is always on top."

It has been suggested Terry will be allowed to miss next weekend's FA Cup clash with Cardiff City on compassionate grounds, Ancelotti confirmed his captain could take time off if he needed it but claimed Terry may still play a part against the Championship outfit.

He added: "If he needs a holiday, I will give him a holiday, if not he will play. I never had a discussion and I don't like to speak about this."

England boss Fabio Capello is yet to announce whether Terry will remain as captain of the national side.
