Real Madrid are reported to be lining up a summer swoop for Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic.
Former Blues boss Jose Mourinho is keen to take the Serbian to the Bernabeu at the end of the season and Chelsea could be ready to sanction a deal as they look to clear the decks.
Ivanovic has been a consistent performer for Chelsea and it would be a gamble letting the versatile defender go but if Real make a big enough offer, reports in the Daily Mirror claim a deal is on.
Meanwhile Ivanovic has been charged with misconduct by the FA after he was caught on camera punching Wigan's Shaun Maloney in the stomach and is now set for a three-match ban.
The defender will miss the FA Cup semi-final with Tottenham this weekend along with the Premier League clashes against Arsenal and QPR to leave Roberto Di Matteo with a huge headache.
John Terry and Ashley Cole are both struggling with injury and Ivanovic's ban could not come at a worse time.
