Sahar loan exit on the cards

ChelseaPompey are set to sign teenage Chelsea striker Ben Sahar on a 6-month loan which could develop into a season-long stay at Fratton Park.

According to reports in the Israeli media, Sahar will reject the offer of a loan spell at NEC Nijmegen to line-up for Harry Rednknapp next season.

The 18-year-old had an injury-hit spell at QPR last season, before finishing the campaign strongly at Sheffield Wednesday, where he scored three times in 12 appearances.

Sahar hopes to prove to new Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari that he is worthy of a chance at Stamford Bridge, but Premier League rules will prevent him from facing his parent club when Pompey meet them on the opening weekend of the season.
