Samba ace snubs move

Chelsea have been told to forget about making a move for Maicon as the Brazilian star will not be leaving Inter Milan.

The defender has been strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge as doubts surround the future of Jose Bosingwa but a deal looks unlikely to happen as the player is committed to Inter.

Inter have yet to get the right-back tied down to a new deal but the player's agent Antonio Caliendo says that is not a problem and the Samba ace has no intention of moving on.

"There are no meetings scheduled (with Inter) so far," he revealed. "I reiterate that Maicon will not leave Inter. I believe in respecting a contract and the fans have nothing to fear."

Chelsea want a new right-back and this latest news comes as a blow after they also missed out on a deal for Glen Johnson, who joined Liverpool.
