Andre Schurrle says Jose Mourinho's reappointment as Chelsea boss only strengthens his desire to move to Stamford Bridge.
The Germany international is close to completing his £18million switch from Bayer Leverkusen after a year of speculation linking him with the west London club.
Having failed in their bid to sign the 22-year-old last season, Chelsea have finally got their man, subject to him passing a medical and agreeing personal terms.
Schurrle says he has been eager to join the Blues for some time and insists the chance to work with Mourinho was too good to pass up.
Chelsea's latest signing says Mourinho told him the deal was done last week and claims, having spoken to Real Madrid's Mesut Ozil and Sami Khedira, he is expecting big things from the 'Special One'.
He told Bild: "They both told me that he is the best coach they have ever worked with.
"During the recent US tour [by Germany], we talked about this issue for more than an hour."
