Scolari blasts rift rumours

ChelseaLuiz Felipe Scolari has blasted suggestions he has fallen out with Chelsea officials after Robinho signed for Manchester City.

Robinho was expected to sign for Chelsea on deadline day but he instead joined City and reports immediately claimed that Scolari was fuming with his new board for letting the deal slip through their fingers.

However, Scolari has blasted such talk and says he is not concerned with the fact Robinho moved elsewhere. Instead, the Brazilian is fully focused on his own squad and is delighted with the quality he has got.

"This is not a problem for me," Scolari told the club's website. "I have many great players and I am very happy with my team. I am receiving new players from injuries as (Didier) Drogba will be back soon.

"(John) Mikel (Obi) recovers well. (Michael) Ballack and (Michael) Essien played with injuries but both are getting better. They are an example of the fantastic characters I have in my squad.

"I don't think the people around Robinho were serious about him coming to Chelsea. They were more interested in the best business deal. But what I've said before about Robinho I say again now. He's a very good player. I only wish him the best.

"I have seen the newspapers and that they say I am unhappy or angry with the club. These statements are not true at all. I have not said this and I do not think this. I am very happy with this situation."
