Luiz Felipe Scolari expects speculation about the future of Frank Lampard to continue until the summer transfer window shuts.
The England international, who was on target in Chelsea's 4-0 friendly triumph over Guangzhou Pharmaceutical on Wednesday, has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge during the close season, with former Blues boss Jose Mourinho keen to lure him to Inter Milan.
The 30-year-old could leave west London for free when his contract expires next summer, but Scolari is confident Lampard will start the new season at Chelsea at least.
"I have said before, Frank is here, he is with us training and playing very well, he is an important player for us," said Scolari.
"The speculation is normal because until 31st August there will be a lot of speculation."
