Scolari targets unbeaten season

NewsChelsea coach Luiz Felipe Scolari believes his team has the mental approach to take them through a season unbeaten.

The west Londoners currently sit at the top of the Premier League, with 20 points from eight games - the same number as Sunday's opponents, Liverpool.

The Reds have also enjoyed a superb start to the campaign with many in the game believing they might finally mount a realistic challenge for the title, having been off the pace in recent years.

Scolari is always positive in his approach and thinking but accepts that, on Sunday, taking at least one point is vital in the long run.

"I don't ever talk about losing," he said. "I know what I need to expect sometimes. But we need to fight to make sure we don't lose."

Punters wanting to use a free £10 bet might want to back Chelsea to continue their winning ways against Rafa Benitez' men this weekend.

Scolari has instilled a mental toughness in his squad at Stamford Bridge and it is this, he feels, that could see his charges emulate Arsenal's feat of a few years ago and complete a whole season with nothing in the lost column.

"When I look at them, I see a team that doesn't accept they might lose - and that is why I feel it's possible to go through the league season unbeaten," he added.
