Shevchenko set for Milan

Andriy Shevchenko is set to end his Chelsea hell by returning to AC Milan after the two clubs agreed a deal.

The striker has long been linked with a return to the San Siro but it looked as though a deal would not happen after the Blues could not agree a deal with Milan.

However, it now looks as though a move has been agreed although it is unclear whether it is a loan or a permanent switch.

A statement on the club's website read: "Chelsea FC have agreed terms for Andriy Shevchenko to return to AC Milan. Details of the agreement will remain confidential.

"The move is subject to a successful medical."
